About Us

The Michinoku Trail Club, a nonprofit organization, serves as the central headquarters for the entire Michinoku Coastal Trail. In this capacity, it manages and operates the “Michinoku Coastal Trail Natori Trail Center.” It also works in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment, relevant local governments, and satellite facilities to maintain the trail and promote its use, while providing hikers with information about the entire trail.

To ensure that hikers can enjoy walking the Michinoku Coastal Trail safely and with peace of mind, and to foster a “culture of walking” where the trail is cherished by many—as well as those involved in trail maintenance, inn and shop owners, and local “trail angels”—to work together and support one another, making the trail sustainable. We work every day with the hope that the Michinoku Coastal Trail will be cherished by many people and that a “culture of walking” will flourish.
