Become a Supporter

Thank you for your interest.

The Certified NPO Michinoku Coastal Trail Association works in partnership with local governments and private organizations in the 29 municipalities across the four prefectures along the trail to develop, manage, and promote the use of the Michinoku Coastal Trail.

We aim to contribute to regional revitalization and the promotion of tourism by preserving and sustainably utilizing the natural environment and fostering interaction between hikers and local residents. These activities are made possible by the support of our members.

On June 9, 2019—eight years after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami—thanks to the dedicated efforts of many people, the Pacific coast of the Tohoku region was connected by a single trail known as the “Michinoku Coastal Trail.” Since the trail’s full opening, it has fostered new interactions between hikers and local residents, as well as among the communities along the route.

“I’m glad I went for a walk”
“I’m glad there’s a trail in my town”

To pave the way toward a future where you can feel this way, we will continue to move forward together with our members.

We are currently seeking individual and organizational supporting members who share our mission and are willing to join us in “protecting,” “nurturing,” and “promoting” the Michinoku Coastal Trail.

We hope you’ll join us and lend a hand.
