One of the die-hard fans of the Michinoku Coastal Trail.
Starting in 2017, through my work on the Michinoku Coastal Trail, I found myself becoming a board member of the Michinoku Trail Club before I knew it.
I’m completely captivated by the beauty of the ocean, the vastness of the sky, the breath of the forest, the glint of the babbling brook—and, above all, the warmth of the people I pass along the Michinoku Coastal Trail.
And so that I can spend time with the kind-hearted long-distance hikers I love so much, I’ve been serving as a Trail Angel at the southern tip of the Sanriku Revival National Park since 2021, and I hope to enjoy helping ensure that the Michinoku Coastal Trail remains a trail that lasts for at least 100 years.
