(Updated April 30, 2026) [Road Closure Information] Regarding the Forest Fire in Ōtsuchi Town, Iwate Prefecture (Occurred on April 22)
The main route of the Michinoku Coastal Trail, between Shiraishi in Ōtsuchi Town and Murohama Fishing Port in Kamaishi City, is closed to traffic due to road construction.
2. Points to note
As shown in the attached diagram
There is no alternative route on foot between Otsuchi Station and Unosumai Station . Please use the Sanriku Railway.
Please note that if you use the Sanriku Railway for this section, it will also be recognized as having completed the entire line.
