Many hikers really look forward to meeting local people, so if you see a hiker on the MCT, please say hi to them.

If you live along the MCT and would like to do something specific to help hikers, please consult with the nearest satellite facility. Your support efforts could be listed on MCT maps/pamphlets made by local groups or on the Trail Supporters list maintained my MCTA.
