Hikers in July
I was thinking, “This year’s rainy season sure has been rainy,” when suddenly the heat started to intensify here in Natori.
Let me introduce some hikers who’ve been walking on undeterred by the heat.
This is the intersection where section hikers walking from the north—who can now see the finish line—meet hikers who set out from the south. Looking at them like this, they all seem pretty tough, don’t they?
We also had a hiker visit who had completed the entire trail. It’s always a pleasure to hear their stories and memories. Since the start of this fiscal year, 30 people have already registered as completers of the entire trail.
As of the end of July, the number of people who have completed the entire route has reached 286.
