A Full Circle Tour! Exploring Kesennuma Oshima, the “Green Pearl” [2 Days, 1 Night]

Thanks to the Kesennuma-Oshima Bridge, which opened in 2019, it is now possible to reach Kesennuma-Oshima on foot. From “Kameyama,” a hilltop on Oshima, you can enjoy views of Kesennuma Bay and the Kesennuma-Oshima Bridge you just crossed. From late winter through spring, camellias—Kesennuma City’s official flower—bloom beautifully.Since accessing the island by public transportation involves many transfers and takes a long time, we recommend traveling by private car.
